The silght thud of her hooves on the soft ground was barely audible in the dense forest. The surrounding quiet comforted Lacrymosa like nothing else could. Muscles released the long held tension, the glimmer once again leaving her coat in the darkness, the pale mare continued forward. Her body bent smoothly around moss covered trees.

The surroundings were calming, but Lacrymosa still proceeded forward with caution. Ears pricked for any new sounds, her irridescent blue eyes flickered back and forth. Nostrils flaring, Lacrymosa pulled in her wings close to her sides. Shadows were cast across the soft feathers in a multitude of layers, making them appear as just part of her back and sides instead of the white angelic like wings that they really were.

Lacrymosa swiveled her head around silently at the sound of a twig snapping. a small rabit hopped through the bushes across her path and into another thicket. Startled, the young mare bounced back on her hind legs, doing a half rear. A slight nicker escaped her, only to be silenced a moment later. On landing, she again checked her surroundings. her dainty hooves stepped forward, avoiding the smallest rocks and branches.

The sun just barely reached through the trees. It's small rays warming her damp coat. Lacrymosa appeared more golden where the sun hit her. The golden patches glittering and appearing to glow. Her tale swished quietly back and forth across her flanks. She Shook her head out, her long mane flying. Stianding still a moment, a slight breeze caught her forlock and in a spin, making if dance between her eyes.

The sound of ruching water filled her ears. Instantly Lacrymosa was on high alert. Ears flicking back and forth, excitement filled her. A glimmer danced through her bright blue eyes. Filled with a sudden frisk that wasn't there before, The young mare moved into an energetic trot. Her head was raised high, her mane and tale flying behind her.

She darted through the trees, following her mere instincts now. A log stood a distance ahead of her. Releasing her wings from their tight hold, they flew out beside her, stretching out. The tips just brushing the trees beside her. Picking up a canter, pure joy filled Lacrymosa, a joy she rarely felt, as her front hooves left the ground, making a graceful jump into the air and over the log.

The air rushed through her feathers, the tingling feeling traveling through them. For a moment she seemed to simply float through the air, before she pulled her wings in once more, making a smooth effortless landing on the far side of the log, which now stood a large distance behind her. The rush of the water had only gotten louder, and with an excited whinny, she picked up a canter once more, and with easy agility she darted through the trees.

The river stood before Lacrymosa. She skidded to a quick stop. Breathing heavily from all of the days activities up to now, she gingerly aproached the water. Lowering her head, her muzzle dipped in it. Giving an excited snort, the mare began to gulp down the water greedily. Her ears continued to flick back and forth, and her tale swished. Occasionlay and excited tremor would pass through her entire body. More relaxed now, she once again loosened the hold she had on her wings. The white feathers edged away from her body ever so slightly.

Satisfied, Lacrymosa lifted her head once more and glanced around herself suspiciously. Then with no further warning, she bounded into the river, the cool water rushing past her legs and spraying her belly. Her pale palomeno seeming to stay the same colour though it was soaking wet. Lacrymosa continued to frisk around in circles, enjoying every moment of the simple action. Sparks seemed to dance in her eyes, as if expressing their own joy in the moment. The quietness of the woods surrounded her complete and utter joy, as she continued to daintily prance in circles.

• Dark eyes, tainted with the hue of blood, silently scoped the horizon of his terrain. His ears were alert, as was his nostrils. Every inch of his body was a watch guard, or defensive soldier. Their attentive duty was rewarded with the cry of another equine, as short as it was... As well as the scent of her. His pillars immediately jolted him into action, a careful canter was all it took to bring her into view.

• He was rather shocked at what his eyes told him about this fem. By the time he had arrived, at a distance, she was splashing in his crystalline river. Surely this prancing young female couldn't possibly be an intruder... No, not with the way that the diamond like water sprinkled over her already glistening pelt. The sun seemed to love her, as the sun always seemed to fall on those who were blithe. Yet still, he couldn't help but wonder what brought her here. Was it simply the water? The food? Boredom? Companionship? Surely the golden creature would not seek companionship from the dark ebony demon with the blood tinted eyes, as well as four sharp horns upon his mantle. Even the thought of standing next to her seemed such a contrast...

• Yet, his feet carried him forward at a walk. He payed no mind to the noise he made, for there was a probability that she wouldn't hear him over the splashing and rushing liquid. But, even if she did, it didn't matter much... His daggers stopped at the water's edge, not wishing to feel the cold on their coronets. His nostrils huffed a snort, just in case she needed the attention grabber. He then tilted his skull ever so slightly in order to give her the strange look she deserved when she spied him. He was no longer standing far from her, no, his feet found refuge as close as they could be to her without getting wet.

• His waiting stance gave him a moment to truly scrutinize, to critically examine the fem's golden bodice. There was a mark of a butterfly imprinted in her pale canvas. The sight of this lightened his expression by just the slightest... He really thought just moments ago that she could be a vicious warrior here to steal his land from him? Well, it was possible still... But highly unlikely from the looks of it.

Lacrymosa continued to spring through the glistening water of the river. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the dark creature standing at the rivvers edge but still far as not to get wet from the splashes that surrounded her. Instantly, she threw her head up, and lept from the water in one graceful move, only have to open her wings the slightest to give her the acquired lift.

Her dainty hooves landed on the marshy ground with little sound, and She swung her rear around so that she now stood before the ebony stallion, though much farther away. He watched her with those blood red eyes that stood out even under the dark coverage of the trees. Lacrymosa stood completely still for all but a moment before beginning to shake the water from her pale pelt. Her mane swung against her neck, leaving remaining drops of water to slide down it. The little amounts of sun instantly began to dry the moisture from her body, returning it to the pale colour it had been before.

Eyeing him with suspicion, her nostrils flared as she pondered on what to do next. Taking in the full extent of his appearance brought new more imposing thoughts to the forefront of her mind. She had no idea what he might want, and why he continued to watch her. He was much darker than she, and the horns that he had only revealed a much darker side to him, a side of danger in a way.

The suspicion in her grew, her eyes widening, changing from the glittering blue they had been moments before to a pale silver. He was intimidating, but she wouldn't and refused to be intimidated by anyone. No matter how imposing he appeared to be. She had survived too long on her own. She had always determined where she would go and what she would do. Falring her nostrils once more and snorting in indignation. Raising her dished face up in a proud stance, Lacrymosa glared in his direction. Opening her wings to near their full length was her own way of intimidating someone.

Turning her head with every ounce of calm she possessed, resisting the urge to flee like she usually would in a sistuation like this, she trotted towards the rivers edge. Living on her own most of her life had tought her when a sistuation could become dangerous for herself. For this she had never stayed in the same place for long, for the simple fear that humans would find her and somehow capture her.

Glancing towards the ebony steed momentarily, Lacrymosa lowered her head to the glistening water at the rivers edge, taking in long gulps of the refreshing water. After her long flight here, she was parched and the dark forest had offered relief from the blazing sun above the tree tops. The small amounts of light the reached through the trees gleaned off her coat and her still outstretched wings. The small glimmers of light made her pelt sparkle the darker golden colour in patches across her body. Lacrymosa glanced up at the stallion every so often with the pale silver orbs that had replaced her brighter blue ones moments before.
